Terms of Use
Last updated 22 September 2026
These terms are between you and Rafael Batyrbaev, the individual developer who publishes BodySignals (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. They apply alongside Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement; where the two differ, these terms apply to the extent the Apple agreement allows.
1. Not medical advice
BodySignals is a wellness app that helps you notice posture habits. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. Readings are estimates from consumer headphones and phone sensors and can be wrong. Don't use the app to make medical decisions. If you have pain, an injury or a diagnosed condition, or you're unsure whether an exercise or change is right for you, talk to a doctor or physiotherapist first. Stop and seek help if something hurts.
2. What you need
An iPhone running a supported version of iOS and compatible headphones with head-tracking motion sensors (AirPods Pro, AirPods 3rd generation and later, AirPods Max). Features depend on these sensors and on the permissions you grant. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) to use the app.
3. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and the App Store rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, or use it to break the law or anyone's rights, except as the law expressly allows.
4. Free and Premium
Tracking sitting and walking sessions is free. BodySignals Premium adds long-term history and insights, challenges and Apple Health integration, and may add or change Premium features over time.
Subscriptions
- Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly. The price and any introductory offer are shown in the app before you buy and may differ by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- An introductory price applies only to the first period stated in the offer, once per Apple ID; the regular price applies after that.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.
- If we change the price, Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
Refunds and restoring
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com under Apple's policies. To get Premium back on a new or reinstalled device, use Restore Purchases in the app with the same Apple ID.
5. Your data
How the app handles data is described in the Privacy Policy. Your readings stay on your device. You're responsible for your device backups; if you delete the app or lose the phone without a backup, your history can't be recovered by us.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the app accurate and available, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or work with every device, headphone model or iOS version. We may update, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue Premium, you won't be charged for renewals after that.
7. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Some of this may not apply to you if your local law doesn't allow it.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
10. Ending
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it and cancelling any subscription. We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms. Sections 1, 7, 8 and 9 continue after it ends.
11. Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app. If you keep using the app after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
